This page covers the website adhole.fr. What the AdHole software does with data is described in its own privacy notice.
In short: this website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. It counts its visits with a tool installed on its own server, which doesn’t keep your IP address and counts nothing if your browser asks not to be tracked. The web server itself keeps no log.
Who is responsible
Antoine MOURY, sole proprietor, 26 rue Charles de Mouchy, 06210 Mandelieu-la-Napoule, France · contact@antoinemoury.fr.
What the website receives, and what it does with it
To send you a page, the server necessarily receives your IP address and what your browser sends on its own (its language, its type). It uses them for the time it takes to answer you: the web server keeps no log, neither of visits nor of errors. Only the audience measurement, described below, keeps a trace of your visit.
The home page additionally asks the same server, on load and then once an hour for as long as the tab stays open, for a small file holding a single number: the total of requests blocked across AdHole users. Nothing about you goes out with it, nothing about you comes back, and the server records these requests no more than any other. If they fail, the line simply disappears from the page.
Cookies and trackers
No cookies. This website writes nothing to your browser, neither cookies nor local storage. The language is chosen by the address (French pages are under /fr/), not remembered. In local storage, the audience measurement script reads one thing only: whether it holds a key named “umami.disabled”, which turns the script off (see “Audience measurement”); it writes nothing there.
That’s why there is no consent banner: cookie-free and for the publisher alone, this measurement stays within the conditions under which the French data protection authority (CNIL) exempts audience measurement from consent, and you can object to it at any time.
Audience measurement
This website counts its visits with Umami, open-source audience measurement software that the publisher installed on his own server, the one serving this website, in Germany. The script and what it sends go through this website’s address (under /m/): your browser contacts no other server, and neither Umami’s publisher nor anyone else receives these measurements.
For each page you open, the script sends the page’s address, without what follows a “?” or a “#”, its title, the address you came from when your browser gives it (without what follows a “?”), the browser’s language and the screen size. The server works out your browser, your system and the type of device (computer, phone, tablet), but doesn’t keep your browser’s details. That is what is kept, with the date and time, and the country, region and city derived from your IP address.
Your IP address is not recorded. The server uses it while receiving the measurement: to derive the country, region and city, and to compute, with your browser’s characteristics and a secret key, an identifier that links the pages seen from the same browser and the same address. This identifier changes every month: from one month to the next, the same person isn’t recognised.
Why: to know how many people read this website, which pages, and where they come from. These measurements serve nothing else: no advertising, no matching with other data, no transfer to anyone. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing our website’s audience (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are deleted every day once they are 13 months old.
Not to be counted: if your browser sends the “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, the script sends nothing. You can also create the key that turns it off, from your browser’s console open on a page of this website: localStorage.setItem("umami.disabled", "1"). An ad or tracker blocker can also keep it from loading.
Third-party services
None. Fonts, images and scripts, the audience measurement’s included, are served by the website itself: your browser contacts no other server while you browse it. Links to other websites are followed only if you click them; your browser then tells that website you came from this one (its address, not the page).
Downloads
AdHole’s files are served from https://adhole.fr/telechargements/, by the same server. It counts downloads: one total per file and per day, with the downloads made by the program’s own automatic updates counted apart (the program names itself when it downloads). It records neither your IP address nor anything that identifies you.
If you email us
Your email address and message are used only to reply to you. They are stored by our email provider, FirstHeberg (Techcrea Solutions, 70 rue Jean Jaurès, 59770 Marly, France, servers in France), and kept for three years after our last exchange, then deleted. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting
IONOS SARL, 7 place de la Gare, BP 70109, 57201 Sarreguemines Cedex, France, on a server located in Germany, in the European Union.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict its processing, or object to it: write to contact@antoinemoury.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr) or with the authority of the EU country where you live. Audience measurements are tied neither to your name nor to your IP address, only to the monthly identifier described above: the surest way not to be counted remains the “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal.
Changes
If what this website collects changes, this page will say so beforehand, with a new version date.
Language
This policy is available in English and French. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
